Week One NFL Picks: Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams

NFL Picks Week One: Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams This is a dangerous Week One matchup here between the Seattle Seahawks and the St. Louis Rams, but I feel like the defending NFC champions have an edge. The Seahawks are the better team all around and the Rams have issues at running back. The Rams also do not have the type of receivers necessary to beat this Seahawks secondary. Banged up, I think they will fall short.

We were fortunate enough to get in a little early and bought in at -2.5 and -3. At -4, I think the  ...

Week One NFL Picks: Steelers Patriots Season Opener

Week One Football Picks: Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots (2015 NFL Season Opener) The NFL is back. It’s been a long offseason spent mulling over a goal line, shotgun pass that got picked off and sealed another Tom Brady championship. To say the least, I’ve felt deflated for some time. I guess I’m going to have to accept that the New England Patriots enter the 2015 NFL season opener as the defending Super Bowl champions.

And that’s okay.

I think Tom Brady will have more to prove this year than ever before. His legacy is tainted, and he spent  ...

Complete 2015 AFC Playoffs Predictions: Colts, Broncos, Patriots

AFC Playoffs Predictions: Colts, Broncos, Pats, Bengals

I’ve got most of the AFC going 9-7. As such, I’ve thrown in my two favorites to somehow snag the tiebreakers and squeak into the playoffs as wildcards this year. Either way, I think the Indianapolis Colts are going to cruise to a divisional title, and possibly the top seed in the AFC. I think the Denver Broncos have some questions, the New England Patriots have a big suspension to deal with, and the Cincinnati Bengals are impossible to trust to even escape their division. Still, in a jumbled AFC, here are my 2015 playoff predictions in full.

1. Indianapolis Colts (13-3): The Colts got better, have arguably the best quarterback in the AFC with Brady suspended and Manning aging, and I trust the coaching staff to manage the talent edge appropriately. I think they’re in line for an easy division title, which should help them accumulate enough wins to steal the top  ...

NFL Preseason Playoff Predictions: Packers, Seahawks, Cowboys

NFL Preseason Predictions: Complete NFC Playoffs Predictions

For me, the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks will be battling it out for the top seed in the NFC playoffs. I think the Green Bay Packers have a shot to take it all because their division is so weak and the Seahawks will have to battle such talented teams in the west. I think the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are playoff teams, but they start the next tier of competition in the conference. I like the Atlanta Falcons to control a horrible NFC South, and my wild card teams are the Eagles and Cardinals.

1. Seattle Seahawks (14-2): As I’ve said in earlier editions of our preseason predictions, the best team in football got better. If not for a horrible play call, the Seahawks would be a two-time defending champ coming into this year with expectations for a third championship. I think they take the top seed this year.

2.  ...

NFC West Preseason Predictions: Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals

NFC West Preseason Predictions: Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals While I expect this division to cannibalize itself a little bit, I don’t think anyone is as good as the Seattle Seahawks this year. The Seahawks should have won the Super Bowl, but elected, from the shotgun, not to run the ball with the best goal line back in football. In response, they’ve added a bunch of pieces and gotten a lot better, and I don’t think anyone will compete until the salary cap destroys them.

1. Seattle Seahawks (14-2): It’s hard to be completely unstoppable from the west coast because of how far you have to travel for a lot of those road games. That said, it’s hard to be stopped when you add one of the best offensive weapons in football to the best rushing offense in the game. I choose not to forgive them for their Super Bowl mishap that cost me money, but to pick anyone ahead of  ...

NFC North Picks, 2015 Preseason Predictions: Green Bay Packers

NFL Preseason Predictions, NFC North: Green Bay Packers Obvious Favorites

I’m really not a Green Bay Packers fan. I don’t really like teams that don’t play defense, I’m not a fan of Eddie Lacy, and I don’t particularly like the way things ended with Brett Favre. That said, there’s really no other options in the NFC North this year.

I really like to pick the underdog. There’s something about embracing the little guy that brings me such joy. That’s why this division is so boring for me, because year after year we pick the Green Bay Packers in the Aaron Rodgers era and we’re usually right.

1. Green Bay Packers (13-3): Aaron Rodgers is probably the most exciting quarterback in football with probably the dumbest touchdown celebration in football. That said, there’s simply too many weapons in Green Bay and this division is too weak. By default, I’m expecting big things from the Green Bay Packers this year.

2. Detroit Lions  ...

NFL Preseason Predictions: 2015 AFC West Picks, Denver Broncos

2015 AFC West Predictions: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs

It’s not exactly going out on a limb to predict the exact same results as last year, but that’s what I’ll be doing in this division. The Denver Broncos continue to be the class of a highly mediocre division, while the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers battle to remain relevant. The Oakland Raiders are still the Oakland Raiders.

1. Denver Broncos (12-4): They’ve taken a step back and Peyton Manning has gotten a year older, but I still think they have plenty of weapons and will continue to win at the same clip as last year. I’d like to see Manning get another Super Bowl, but his time in the spotlight is coming to an end.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (9-7): The Chiefs are an interesting team. They can run the ball, they’ve got a good defense, but they don’t really have the passing attack necessary to win in  ...

Super Bowl Predictions: Why Seattle Seahawks Will Defeat the New England Patriots

NFL Super Bowl Predictions: Why the Seattle Seahawks Will Beat the New England Patriots

Last year broke a long run of Super Bow victories that went back to the Colts-Bears game my senior year of high school. This year I’ll be jumping on the very bandwagon that stole my glory last season. Perhaps my love of Peyton Manning blinded me last season, but surely betting into all the hatred I have for the Seattle Seahawks will help eliminate any such bias this season.

We announced our prediction earlier in the week, but I wanted to take another look at  ...

Super Bowl XLIX Pick: Seattle Seahawks Will Win Super Bowl, Patriots Fall Short

Super Bowl XLIX Prediction – NFL Picks: Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots Im on the Seattle Seahawks here. I find it ironic that the team that broke my Super Bowl win streak with Z-Code now garners my support, but I think they’rethe better team. It kind of pains me to say it, but if there’s a team I dislike more than Seattle it’s probably the New England Patriots and their ball-deflating, videotaping, nonsense dynasty. This Super Bowl is going to be great and terrible at the same time in that regard; Two awesome teams that I hate.

I think the  ...

NFL Playoffs Picks, AFC Championship: Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

NFL Playoffs Picks, AFC Championship: Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

It’s hard to imagine anyone taking down the New England Patriots at home. The Pats have been great at home, and Tom Brady’s numbers on his own field have been spectacular this season. The Indianapolis Colts defense is sloppy, and it’s hard to see them shutting down the Pats. Then again, it was hard to imagine them shutting down the Denver Broncos, and they found a way to do that.

I believe Peyton Manning was pretty incapacitated by his injury but tried to play through it. I  ...
