The computer and I have made a lot of money on March Madness during the NCAA Men’s Basketball bracket. Where we’ve agreed, we’ve made a great deal of profit. Here, we have a very interesting split in the parameters of my system. It’s early, we’re monitoring it closely, but there are some very curious public money trends shaping up.

We were right to stay away from this series, as this game represents a very dangerous sweep situation where the Dodgers have been heavily favored in each game and looked to be the better team all along. These intense divisional rivalries sometimes yield results like that, and sweeps are somewhat common with teams this familiar with so much hate involved. This should be an exciting one.

NHL Picks: New Jersey Devils at Buffalo Sabres

This is a heartbreak or hope game for me, so kindly ignore my various and blatant biases in evaluating this game. I think the Devils can make the playoffs. Here’s why:

1. The Columbus Blue Jackets are about to play three top teams. I think they could lose all three. They were sellers at the deadline and this is a deadly stretch in their schedule.

2. The Devils play the Caps later this week. Win and they leap both non-playoff teams to become the top threat to Columbus’ WC 2 spot.

NCAA March Madness Final Four Predictions: Florida, Kentucky

Wouldn’t it be wild if the SEC Final is a preview of the NCAA Championship? Well, the way Florida and Kentucky are both playing, that’s my prediction right now.

1. Florida vs 7. Uconn

I had Connecticut going far in the tournament – though I didn’t expect them to survive last round. They have leadership, dynamic guard play, and when it mattered most their defense stepped up big. Simply put, I don’t think they have the weapons to keep up with Florida. Florida has the same defensive tenacity, if not more, but they also have players to create their own offense. When push comes to shove, I think Florida controls this game.

2014 MLB Predictions: Basic Strategy For A Winning Baseball System

When I first got to Z-Code, I was a little bit out of control. I was profitable each season, but I was leaving money on the table. I was placing a bet on every hockey game, sometimes as little as five dollars per play, and I was publishing a pick for all posts. I’ve since learned discretion, and it’s made me the proven, consistent handicapper I am now. We’re up 20 units in NHL this season as my forum comes to a close.

My baseball system evolved as well. I thought that progressions and chase systems were scams and I was determined to prove to the handicapping world that flat betting could be profitable as well. I did that, and posted profit each of my seasons of publishing bets. Last year, however, I decided to introduce ABC progressions to my traditional AB doubles and flat bets. 2014 MLB Predictions – National League: Dodgers Top Mediocre NL

I’ve always been an American League guy. It’s not that I think the DH makes for better games, but my favorite teams and rivalries have always been in the AL. This year, in an unbiased and professional way, I just don’t think the NL is nearly as competitive from top to bottom. I like a couple teams, but mostly, I think the elite will distance themselves quite easily from an abundance of mediocrity. Let’s have a look:

NL East:

1. Atlanta Braves (92-70): The loss of Medlen for the season is going to hurt an otherwise stacked pitching rotation, and the lineup is filled with the usual suspects. I think Heyward and Freeman are good enough to carry this team, but I had much higher hopes when the rotation was healthy. They’ll be good, but can they compete with the Dodgers for the pennant?
