MLB Picks: New York Mets at San Diego Padres We’re riding the New York Mets heavy to start the year, but they haven’t let us down yet. The San Diego Padres have been a weak team in a weak division for a while, despite spending a good amount of money in free agency two seasons ago. Ultimately, you have one of the best teams in baseball playing really well and visiting an all around poor team. I think that’s a great time for a system progression.
