MLB Picks: Pittsburgh Pirates vs Cincinnati Reds
The Cincinnati Reds are a bad team. They’re anchored by an aging first basemen that really doesn’t have any support. The pitching rotation is struggling. Alfredo Simon limps into this start after bad outings, and I think the Pittsburgh Pirates will finally break through.
The Pirates are one of the best teams in baseball. The lineup went a little bit cold in the first game of this series, but they will bounce back. They havea deep team with a strong rotation. Best of all, the aces line up for this one after a close matchup here.
With Francisco Liriano and Jeff Locke on deck, and the better team getting decent odds on the road here, I like a progression. While it’s a little early for the computer to generate a projection, I anticipate there to be a strong signal on the Pirates here, even on the road.
Better team, better pitching, and a nice line. This is a system play. They will get a win in the next three, and it will probably be early, but the assurances of the pitchers that follow are good enough for me.
