NHL Playoffs Picks: Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Rangers Game Two I still think the Tampa Bay Lightning will give the New York Rangers quite a series and a tough loss in Game One hasn’t changed anything in my mind. We won on the Ducks today in a high confidence wager, and I’ll continue with very low confidence money line wagers on the Tampa Bay Lightning. MLB Picks: Colorado Rockies vs LA Dodgers I pride myself on taking emotion out of betting, but I’d be lying to you if I told you I wasn’t at least a little bit bothered by the rain delay inspired comeback that the Colorado Rockies pulled on the LA Dodgers last night. The game was won, our starting pitcher was cruising along, and then after a very long rain delay it all came crashing down as an elite team fell apart and ended one of the most epic losing streaks in baseball history (two short of a Colorado Rockies franchise record).

NHL Playoffs Picks – Conference Finals: Ducks Blackhawks, Rangers Lightning We’ve had a pretty successful 2015 NHL Playoffs. By the series, we’ve done okay hitting 5/8 in the first round and 2/4 in the second. The key for us has been confidence though, hitting both our high confidence plays in the second round, and all our high confidence plays in the first round. As a result, despite being just one pick above .500, we’ve made some pretty good profit this postseason.

I love the hockey playoffs. I don’t think there’s anything better. I still think if Shea Weber stays healthy the Chicago Blackhawks wouldn’t even be here. They’re hot, but they go against an Anaheim Ducks team that has been among our most reliable and dominant favorites so they might not be here much longer. Saturday May 16th, Cole v Lester Okay, let’s try this again. After postponing our first round of our MLB Picks Contest due to low participation and a pitching change, we’d like to start this up again with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs on Saturday. The Cubs have been inconsistent, but so have the Pirates. I think the Pirates have a slight pitching edge, but the Cubs have their ace going and home field. This should be a good one!

NHL Playoffs Picks: Montreal Canadiens at Tampa Bay Lightning Game Six

This series didn’t quite go to plan for us as the Bolts jumped out to a big lead early and won some tough, gritty games. True to form, however, the Tampa Bay Lightning began to show the same inconsistencies that plagued them through the first round. The Montreal Canadiens are one of the more consistent teams in hockey, winning games the ugly way and fighting through each game so far (except for a 6-2 blowout, randomly sprinkled in). MLB Picks: Washington Nationals at Arizona Diamondbacks I have the Dbacks as a highly mediocre team this year, while the Nats are one of my favorites to win it all. The Washington Nationals have been much better since the lineup finally got healthy, and the opening line of -135 has a ton of value to kick off this series.

NHL Playoffs Picks: Calgary Flames at Anaheim Ducks As we said all series, the Anaheim Ducks are simply the superior team in this series against the Calgary Flames. While the Flames had a nice run, the Anaheim Ducks are an elite team in the 2015 NHL playoffs. I have the Ducks making it to the Finals. I had the Flames falling in the first round and was impressed by their grit, but I think it’s all over for them here.
