NFL Preseason Predictions, 2015 AFC East Picks: Patriots, Bills

AFC East 2015 Preseason Predictions: New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills Few things are as certain season to season as the AFC East. This year, even with all the shaking up of the rosters, even with Tom Brady out for a well-deserved, four-game suspension, and even with the Buffalo Bills making all kind of moves, I still can’t bring myself to bet against the Pats.

1. New England Patriots (10-6): So, even if they come out “flat” you can sprinkle in a few losses with Tom Brady on the bench and maybe a little bit of adjustment once he comes back in, and I still think the New England Patriots are the best team in the AFC East this year. The Jets still don’t have a quarterback, the Bills are learning to win, and the Patriots will win the division – even if they don’t cruise to the title like in years past.

NFL Playoffs Picks, NFC Championship: Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks (-7.5) We had a perfect bracket in the NFC this year after an injured Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers through some controversy last round. Hell, the Dallas Cowboys were only there because of a similar officiating issue, so we feel like it all balanced out (in our favor). So, with nothing broken, why change a thing? We’ll stick to our original prediction here – especially given the health of Aaron Rodgers – and take the Seattle Seahawks at home.

2015 NFL Playoffs Predictions AFC: Patriots Broncos, Manning Brady

I may be rooting for a Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady rematch. It’s pretty much my favorite thing about the AFC. The New England Patriots are a symbol of consistency and losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl, while the Denver Broncos have reloaded in the past couple years. The first round is full of exciting match ups, including one of the best rivalries in football between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.

6. Baltimore Ravens OVER 3. Pittsburgh Steelers

It’s hard to cast off a championship pedigree like that of the Ravens, but this is a completely different team. The defense is younger and not nearly as dominant and Joe Flacco doesn’t have any weapons on the outside. The Steelers have been one of the best teams at home this year. The Seattle Seahawks have a fairly easy road to the conference championship, and once there I don’t see any real threats to the throne. The Dallas Cowboys have had an excellent season and beat Seattle in Seattle, but they have to get through the Lions and Packers first. Green Bay played scared against the Seahawks. Maybe assuming the Seahawks run right into the final is in poor taste, but will the Cardinals really find a way to win without their quarterback? In fact, I’ve got the Carolina Panthers winning in the first round with a losing regular season record. Let’s get into our NFC picks for this edition of our 2015 NFL Playoffs Predictions.

NFL Picks: Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers, NFC Central Title GameThis is the time of year where Aaron Rodgers’ eyes get big and he starts picking apart defenses. While Eddie Lacy isn’t exactly running the ball effectively, the Packers are an impressive bunch with some semblance of balance on offense.
