MLB Picks: Mark D’s 2015 Expert MLB Sports Betting Forum Update I just wanted to update you guys on our progress again in the Z-Code VIP Club expert forum for my picks. We’ve missed some low confidence progressions this month and had a couple drops, but we’ve been pretty careful to protect a season worth of impressive profits. As such, we’re still right around the 10 units mark on the year as we’ve mitigated those losses with high winning percentage days and some solid returns. For me that’s $1,000 in profit based on $100 units and $50 average A ...

MLB Picks: Kansas City Royals at Seattle Mariners
MLB Picks: Kansas City Royals at Seattle Mariners I know Felix Hernandez hasn’t exactly been dominant this year, but he has been winning games for the Seattle Mariners. The guy has a remarkable record so far, and any time he’s on the hill I think the Mariners have a great chance to win. Against a mediocre Kansas City Royals lineup that is slumping a bit and on the road, I think he’ll be in great form.
What’s more, the Kansas City Royals limp into this one in Seattle with Joe Blanton on the mound. The pitching edge would probably warrant ...

MLB Picks: San Francisco Giants at LA Dodgers
MLB Picks: San Francisco Giants vs LA Dodgers
I love Sunday Night Baseball, and this is one of the most intense rivalries in sports as two New York transplants to battle on the west coast. The San Francisco Giants have had a decent year so far, but they’ve been remarkably inconsistent. The LA Dodgers have had some trouble with injuries, but on the verge of being swept by the San Francisco Giants – can they find a way to win here?
The computer likes the underdog value here. Personally, I’m not going to touch this one for its volatility. That said, ...
MLB Picks Contest: Cincinnati Reds vs Pittsburgh Pirates ($100 Prize)
MLB Picks Contest: Cincinnati Reds vs Pittsburgh Pirates
Johnny Cueto and the Cincinnati Reds are off to a poor start, while the Pittsburgh Pirates haven’t exactly impressed anyone either. The Bucs have the better team and they have a strong pitcher on the mound of their own, but he’s no Cueto. I think that makes this a great contest pick for us here.
The MLB Season is starting to get to that point in the season where the bad teams develop some young chemistry, pitchers hit their stride, and the easy money of the first few months is but a fond and distant memory. We cracked the 20 wins above .500 barrier with our forum, but we’ve lost a couple bets since that mark. It’s a funny time for baseball, and we’ve been exercising a discretion-intensive approach to keep our profits and pick our spots. The results are great, and we’re having a lot fun. To that end, I honestly ...
Free MLB Picks Contest ($100 Prize): Royals Yankees Standings Update
MLB Picks Contest Standings Update ($100 Prize): Kansas City Royals at New York Yankees
After another round of our MLB Picks Contest where our participant pool was essentially divided right down the middle again, we had only three winners. The New York Yankees finished off the Kansas City Royals in a relatively comfortable win behind the strong pitching performance of Michael Pineda. As the Yanks finally snap out of a lengthy losing skid after dropping ten of 11, our leaderboard shakes up a little in the early stages of our free MLB Picks Contest with a $100 prize. We have a leader after two rounds!
Let’s take a look at our standings:
Two Wins:
Pat O’Rielley
One Win: ...

MLB Picks: San Francisco Giants at Milwaukee Brewers
MLB Picks: San Francisco Giants at Milwaukee Brewers
I’ll lead with why this is a risky pick. We have no statistical edge and are not promoting a progression here with only a flat bet option in the middle of the series. Further, this is a road favorite and the San Francisco Giants lineup is far from elite. The Milwaukee Brewers have been pesky, and this could be tricky. So, on the road and with only one stab at this, why bother?
Well, for me there is simply too much value in the line. At -145 with one of the ...

MLB Picks: Atlanta Braves vs Milwaukee Brewers
MLB Picks: Milwaukee Brewers at Atlanta Braves – ABC Progression We’ve been destroying the bookies this season. My forum has now won 21 ABC progressions to open the year and we’re up well over 10 units in the VIP Club. Here, we have another chase progression because I like the pitching matchup here between two teams that I think are relatively equal.
The Milwaukee Brewers have been something of a punching bag for us this season. They suffered a lot of injuries and they haven’t really been the mediocre team that this roster was built to be. They have decent ...

MLB Picks: LA Angels at Toronto Blue Jays
MLB Picks: LA Angels at Toronto Blue Jays All is not as it seems in this series, but it still fits my system. With tempered confidence, we move forward with an ABC progression as the Los Angeles Angels visit the Toronto Blue Jays with a great pitching edge and tons of momentum.
This game makes me a little bit nervous. The Toronto Blue Jays are not this bad. They have a lineup that can explode at any time, and while they lack pitching they still can win. The team is really struggling lately, but at home they can bounce back ...
Free MLB Picks Contest ($100 Prize): Standings Update Round One
MLB Picks Contest, Round 1 Standings Update: Cubs Pirates
The Chicago Cubs won our first MLB contest game as the Pittsburgh Pirates fell in a battle of two ace pitchers. We had roughly even distribution throughout our participants, but low participation means that only three people have recorded their first victory. Remember, first to ten wins so it’s still a great time to participate. Hopefully we’ll see larger numbers in our next contest round.
Free to participate, $100 prizes paid immediately following the tenth victory, and absolutely nothing to lose. Good luck, here are our standings after one round:
One Win:
Duane Atkinson (Defending Champion)
Pat O’Rielley ...

MLB Picks: Colorado Rockies at LA Dodgers, AB Doubler
MLB Picks: Colorado Rockies vs LA Dodgers I pride myself on taking emotion out of betting, but I’d be lying to you if I told you I wasn’t at least a little bit bothered by the rain delay inspired comeback that the Colorado Rockies pulled on the LA Dodgers last night. The game was won, our starting pitcher was cruising along, and then after a very long rain delay it all came crashing down as an elite team fell apart and ended one of the most epic losing streaks in baseball history (two short of a Colorado Rockies franchise record).
