NHL Picks: Detroit Red Wings at Nashville Predators
The Detroit Red Wings have been one of the most volatile teams in hockey this year. They lose to teams they should beat, they beat teams they should lose to. It’s tough to trust the Wings right now.
That said, they’re heating up. The Wings have played better in their last few games. Meanwhile, though they pulled off a surprising upset in their last game, the Nashville Predators are really struggling. They don’t have weapons offensively and without Pekka Rinne they’ve been inconsistent defensively.
I think the Red Wings, though they’re on the road, have tremendous value as an underdog play here. They’re the better team, they’re the hotter team, and they may be finding their game. The Preds have really struggled and I think it’s a good time to bet against them.
