NFL Picks: Week 17 – Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
This is it! Everything is on the line with a division championship game. Winner takes all. NFC North with a win, home with a loss. Does it get any better than this?
The Green Bay Packers have their fearless leader back and Aaron Rodgers is active for Week 17 against the Chicago Bears. The Bears had a chance to win the division last week, but they laid an egg agains the Philadelphia Eagles. Is there any recovery?
I say no. I don’t think you can have your season on the line and lose that terribly and suddenly bounce back against a healthy Green Bay Packers team. The Bears have a tremendous advantage at wide receiver, but without a run defense I think the Packers offense will be unstoppable. Eddie Lacy has emerged, and now they have a capable decision maker behind center – and capable is an understatement.
The computer agrees with me here, it just doesn’t know it yet. So much of the algorithm is based on past play, and without Aaron Rodgers the Packers are a different team. Road favorites in this situation are tough, but I think the Packers will run away with this one here. They have the heart of a champion and it shines through today as they sneak into the playoffs and wreak havoc on the NFC.
