NFL Featured Game – Thursday Night Football: New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
When these two teams met the first time this year, I was on the Saints. Nobody else really liked them, but I was pretty confident. We won, but it was close. Here is a list of reasons I am flip-flopping in game two.
1. Z-Code is on the Falcons with 3.5 stars and 62% chance of ML victory.
2. The Saints have cooled off a bit, losing to the 49ers and giving up 31 points to their backup qb.
3. The Falcons haven’t lost since these two teams met.
4. Coaching advantage goes to the Falcons, since they have a coach. So soon after their last meeting, I expect the Falcons to adjust better than New Orleans.
6. Falcons were close in the first game on the road and lost on a goal line stand by the Saints. That won’t happen again for another 300 years.
7. The Saints defense is one of the worst in football. Against Falcons offense – good luck.
8. Thursday games favor the home teams on a short week.
In the end, with Z-Code support and everything pulling me towards Atlanta, I am on medium confidence this Thursday.
