NHL Featured Game – Hockey Picks: Detroit Red Wings at LA Kings
For me, this game comes down to the tremendous goaltending edge the Red Wings have against Jonathan Bernier. Jimmy Howard can be one of the best in hockey, and the backup goaltender for the Kings faces a deep and talented top six for the Detroit Red Wings. He will need to play his best game to keep pace with Howard.
THe Kings offense isn’t all that overpowering, and I think the Red Wings can shut them down. I don’t, however, see the Kings completely shutting down a suddenly-hot Detroit team with their backup goalie. The Wings are weak on the road, but they’re playing well lately.
