NHL Picks and Predictions: Chicago Blackhawks at Florida Panthers
Okay, maybe it’s crazy to follow me when my heart is involved. I don’t know how the Devils won the last game we featured, but I’ll take a 4-0 romp out of those New York jerks any day. Sorry, just had to relish that moment one more time before getting into this pick:
Z-Code and I love the BLackhawks. They’re consistent, they’re fundamentally sound, they’re well coached, they’re deep, and they win.
I do fear the upset on the road against the Florida Panthers. This is a decent team, not far removed from taking my New Jersey Devils seven games in the first round (See, I tied it together). They have some goaltending depth that makes them dangerous, and they have enough scoring and leadership to get by.
So, the question becomes one of value, and I think there is undeniable value on the Blackhawks here.
Z-Code agrees, giving 4.5 stars to the road team and a 61% chance of winning this game. While the odds could be better, it’s hard to stay away.
We’ll try to squeeze some value out of this one, hitting the ML hardest but also betting -1 and win in regulation lines. Low confidence, but too much of an advantage to pass up.
