Monday Night Football Predictions: New York Giants Vs Minnesota Vikings

NFL Picks Week Seven: Monday Night Football, Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants

The New York Giants are winless. Nobody saw it coming, but now that it’s here we can see why. They have no running game. They have a weak defense. The schedule hasn’t been particularly kind, and turnovers have killed the Giants.

Can the Minnesota Vikings get enough pressure on Eli Manning to keep him struggling? The Giants will be one-dimensional as usual, but how bad exactly are the Vikings? Is Jared Allen healthy?

So many questions. Two bad teams. After the computer got the better of me in two consecutive featured games, I’ll lean on them here.

This game is essentially a coin flip. The Giants have a sharp moneyline edge in the computer algorithm (comparatively speaking), but the Vikings have an edge on the spread. The last time the computer readout did this was last night, and we saw the spread take the game outright.

This interpretation of the computer algorithm aligns with what I see happening in this game. The Vikings defense may be bad, but the Giants rushing attack should be so weak that Minnesota can force them to the air. Knowing Eli Manning is passing, and knowing how he’s been passing, I think Minnesota can control this game.

Lastly, I don’t think the Giants have an answer for an ANGRY Adrian Peterson.
