NFL Picks: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

NFL Picks: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions – Thursday Night Football

Something is wrong with the Green Bay Packers. Ever since Aaron Rodgers started sleeping with that model, the Green Bay Packers offense has really stumbled. Sure, by that logic the Green Bay Packers would be better off with Tim Tebow at quarterback than Aaron Rodgers – but maybe there really is something to it. Rodgers wouldn’t be the first quarterback to take his off the field romance rumor issues on the field. Remember when Tony Romo took Jessica Simpson on vacation during that bye week?

Maybe the team is jealous of Rodgers’ new romance. Maybe the linemen, recognizing that their burly physiques will never lead to a love life as rich as Mr. Discount Doublecheck, have decided not to block for him. Maybe the Packers just want to give us a little bit of excitement in the NFC North with a healthy Aaron Rodgers for the first time in years.

Ultimately, the Green Bay Packers have lost three of four, with two of those losses coming in blowouts. A tough loss at Lambeau to the Detroit Lions a few weeks ago spurred the Lions on a nice stretch of wins. Calvin Johnson has awoken and the Detroit Lions offense looks sharp. Still, the Packers, sloppy as they have been, really haven’t been that bad. With so much to play for, will they really let this one slip away?

This is about revenge. This is about division titles. This about pride.

The Green Bay Packers are the better team. The computer gives them a 55% chance of victory on the road here, and despite limited value I will bite on this one with the moneyline and spread.
