NFL Picks: Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers

Screen Shot 2015-12-12 at 8.18.56 AMTwo storied franchises do battle here, but the Dallas Cowboys are without Tony Romo and the Green Bay Packers are really struggling. Aaron Rodgers does not seem to be the reliable leader everyone expects from him each week. Still, it’s the Dallas Cowboys without Tony Romo. -6.5 seems like a gift, and teased to a ML wager it basically is.

The Dallas Cowboys without Tony Romo are like the Cavs without Lebron… N’Sync without Justin Timberlake… Selma Hayek without boobs. The offensive line is solid but the running game is not. Dez Bryant is back, but he’s been largely silenced because the two Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks to play since the Romo injury don’t belong in the NFL.

This Green Bay Packers defense will be all over this lowly Dallas Cowboys offense. If Aaron Rodgers plays half a game and the Packers score two touchdowns I think they win this one comfortably. The Dallas Cowboys offense is that bad, and this above average defense simply isn’t good enough to carry them without a quarterback.

As such, I’m on a teaser. I don’t necessarily think I can trust the Green Bay Packers right now with the way they’re playing, but without a quarterback how on earth will the Cowobys compete here? The computer gives a 65% chance for a Green Bay victory here and while there’s no real value in that line at -270 or -6.5, a teaser looks good, just in case they don’t show up again.

Packers 28 – Cowboys 13
