NCAA March Madness Picks: Gonzaga Duke
I loved this region, and I loved Duke to win it. I think theyre the better team and we’ve been on them from the start to give Kentucky a run. I think this will be an interesting test for them.
Gonzaga has been on a nice run. They’re a solid team and they can fly under the Vegas radar a bit because the public doesn’t tend to think of them as a powerhouse. They’ve been strong all tournament and Duke has a history of underperforming in games they look like they should win.
This is a close one. It seems like an obvious trap, just like the last -5 line was. Vegas knows this Duke team, they know everyone is riding them to the championship, and they’re baiting us with a spread that can be covered by a couple free throws late in the game.
I still like them. We bet into a trap last week and won big on a late free throw with .7 seconds left. Las Vegas will want their money back, people will feel lucky and let it ride, and this game will be a public nightmare… but sometimes the trap is worth it.
We’re betting with some serious caution, letting the money we should have pushed last week ride, and going for blood.
