NCAA Football Picks: Florida Gators at Alabama Crimson Tide

NCAA Football Picks: University of Florida at University of Alabama

Florida Alabama is a fun SEC rivalry game between two of the premier college football programs of the last decade. From all of Nick Saban’s success, to the championships Florida won with Tim Tebow, these two programs epitomize college football for me. This is new, but did you know that Z-Code is branching out to college football after the success we had in the NCAA basketball tournament last year? Here is a quick glimpse at what we offer in the VIP Club.

Last season, my favorite game of the college season was the Sugar Bowl upset by Oklahoma over Alabama. I was at the game in New Orleans with a girl who attended OU, and it just felt right. I covered the price of our lower level tickets and then some as all my teasers and spread bets came through with ease. A low-confidence money line wager paid out almost just as much. I, for a moment in time, hated Alabama with all the fury of the Oklahoma fan section of the Super Dome.

That said, I realized I was merely caught in a moment. One game has not instilled any biases in me. Alabama is the much better team, and I don’t believe Florida has suddenly rebuilt their program.

There appears to be a great deal of value in this line. The computer is a little bit hesitant about a full two touchdowns, but for me, even -14 has value – especially if you buy a half point. The money line, at -500, seems reasonable as well. It would be one of the biggest upsets of the year if Florida goes into Alabama and knocks off the Crimson Tide. Z-Code gives Alabama a 91% chance at victory.

I’m on the spread for small money, but I really like the money line. I’m on it straight and in a parlay for tomorrow. I think Alabama will cruise here, shutting down a Florida offense that had a long way to go last year. I just don’t think they’ll find a way to win on the road.
