NBA Picks April 25: Suns and Nets Tip Off in Featured Game

With the NBA regular season down to the final few weeks, every match-up is more important than the previous. With playoff spots on the line, we take a look at five games for April 25. The Suns versus Nets is the headline game.

Note the Scores Predictor for NBA games April 25.

Phoenix Suns versus Brooklyn Nets

The Suns enter with the second-best record in the Western Conference and the Nets are second in the Eastern Conference. Phoenix is “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator and +26 on the Power Ranking Indicator, while the Nets are “average down” and +21. Despite the teams trending over the line, the ZCode Scores Predictor indicates a lower scoring game, so go with the “under”. Both teams have been performing consistently according to their favorite/underdog status. The Nets won the first meeting between the teams by the score of 128-124 at home. Expect the Suns to reverse the score. The Scores Predictor shows the Suns by a 102-97 score with a probability 67.47 percent.

Memphis Grizzlies versus Portland Trailblazers

Memphis is 8th in the Western Conference and Portland is 6th in the conference. The Grizzlies have a +15 to +14 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator and “average up” versus “ice cold down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Avoid the over/under bet with the teams trending on opposite sides of the line. According to the Team Volatility Oscillator, Portland is slightly more stable at +14 to +12. This is the first meeting between the teams this season. Expect Portland to win and cover the spread.

Milwaukee Bucks versus Atlanta Hawks

The Bucks enter with the 3rd best record in the Eastern Conference and the Hawks are 5th in the conference. Atlanta has a +22 to +19 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator and both teams are “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Expect a lower scoring game, so betting the “under” is smart play according to the Totals Predictor. The favorite/underdog status should be observed since both teams are +20 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. The Bucks have won both meetings between the teams this season by an average of 16 points. The Scores Predictor sees this game as tight as it can be, with the Bucks coming out on top 100-99 with probability 83 percent likelihood.

Indiana Pacers versus Orlando Magic

The Pacers are battling for a playoff spot at 9th in the Eastern Conference and the Magic are next to last in the conference. Indiana has a +8 to +1 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator and “average up” versus “dead up” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Expect a shootout in this one, so bet the “over”. The Magic have been much more consistent with respect to their favorite/underdog status. The Pacers won the first two meetings between the teams, and I don’t expect any different this time. Pick Indiana to win and cover.

Sacramento Kings versus Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are 9th in the Western Conference and the Kings are on the outside looking in at 12th in the conference. Golden State is +17 on the Power Ranking Indicator and “burning hot” status, while the Kings are +3 and “dead”. This will likely be a lower-scoring game, so a bet on the “under” is a smart play. The teams have split the last four meetings and the Scores Predictor heavily favorites the Warriors by a 109-101 score with nearly 74 percent probability.
