That said, the Seattle Seahawks don’t travel very well and this spread is pretty big for a decent home dog. We aren’t asking if the Seahawks will win, but the question is can they win by more than a touchdown? On a national stage, do the Redskins have enough weapons (and pride) to keep this within 7.5? Atlanta has started the season off right. Their wide receivers give them enough depth to make dynamic plays and blow the top off the defense. Steven Jackson looks good, and the rotation of running backs look sharp. Matt Ryan is off to a great start and is making good decisions. I don’t think the Minnesota Vikings  ...

NFL Picks Contest: New Orleans Saints (-3) at Dallas CowboysSunday Night Football Drew Brees doesn’t appear to be quite right this year, the Saints defense has been sloppy, and the Cowboys offense has been crisp and brilliant at times and horrible at others. On the road, the Saints are favored by a field goal. There is no doubt in my mind if the Dallas Cowboys play like they did in the second half of last week, they win this game at home. Which Cowboys team shows up? Will Drew Brees finally get it together against the beleaguered secondary of the Dallas Cowboys? At its best, this could be a high-flying, exciting shootout. At it’s worst, this could be very sloppy. Who ya got, against the spread? Who Dat Nation or America’s Team?

NFL Picks Contest – Monday Night Football: Chicago Bears at New York Jets I got in on this one at +3 for the Bears but this is a trap line for sure. Monday Night Football is dangerous because there’s only one game on the docket, and Vegas gets to manipulate public money with some serious precision. That said, we bet into it with the Falcons this week and survived… but hey, that’s why we made it a contest pick.

NFL Picks Week Three: Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints This spread looks tricky to me. It’s a little too big for me to feel comfortable. The New Orleans Saints defense has been sloppy, and the offense hasn’t quite done enough. This game against the Minnesota Vikings could be tough, but 11 points seems like too many – with or without Adrian Peterson.

That said, the money line has some value for me. The computer says the New Orleans Saints have an 80% chance to win this game straight up. It’s their home opener, they won’t open 0-3, and the Saints  ...

The Jets are well-coached and seem to be running the ball with incredible efficiency. The Bears offense is high-powered and exciting, and they’re coming off a big win. Can Rex Ryan shut down Chicago? Are the Jets better than we think? The computer shows some serious conflict in the algorithm, but for our purposes, money line / pick ’em, who do you guys have?
