NFL Predictions: Week 5

Arizona Cardinals versus Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles enter the game at 3-1, coming off a 26-24 win against the Chargers. The Cardinals are 2-2, coming off a last second win against the Colts. The Cardinals have won the last two meetings between the teams, once on the road and once at home. The teams appear to be heading in opposite directions, the Cardinals at +7 and declining on the Power Ranking Indicator, with the Eagles holding steady at +15. Similarly, the Cardinals are -3.09 and ice cold on the Team Strength Oscillator, while the Eagles are +4.01 and slowing  ...

NCAAF WEEK 6

After a 3-0 ATS sweep in Week 5, let’s take a look at a few games for Week 6. The main strategy I want to implement is fading the public. NCAAF doesn’t have the betting volume that the NFL gets so we will have to be selective in our approach. But books are always looking to exploit public perception so hopefully we can find a few winners by fading the public in a few heavily public-bet games. Obviously, this is written on Tuesday (10/3) so always keep an eye on the changing lines and percentages.

NCAAF UNDERS

As we know, the betting public prefers favorites and overs. While betting the total doesn’t get anywhere near the tickets that the spread bets do, there is value to be found in targeting unders.

Through Week 4 of the 2017 NCAAF season, unders have gone 158-122 (56%) and we’re going to take a look at 3 games with potential under plays for us.

NCAAF Week 5

NCAAF is in full swing and it’s time to jump in on the action. The main strategy I want to implement is fading the public. But books are always looking to exploit public perception so hopefully we can find a few winners by fading the public in a few heavily public-bet games. NFL Predictions Week 4

New Orleans Saints versus Miami Dolphins

The Saints come in at 1-2, while the Dolphins are off to a 2-1 start. Despite having a worse record and playing on the road, the Saints are a 1.5 point favorite. In the last meeting between these teams in 2013, the Saints won as a home favorite. The Dolphins hold a +2.88 to -1.97 in the NFL Team Strength Oscillator and a +22 to +5 edge in the Power Ranking Indicator. Despite the underdog status, the oscillators have me leaning towards the Dolphins, which is my pick to win outright.

NFL WEEK 4

Sweep! 3-0 ATS in Week 3 which improves our YTD to 7-2. Let’s see if we can keep it going with a few potential plays for Week 4. The main strategy I want to implement is fading the public. Books are always looking to exploit public perception so hopefully we can find a few winners by fading the public in a few heavily public-bet games. Obviously, this is written on Tuesday (9/26) so always keep an eye on the changing lines and percentages.

NFL Predictions week 3

Cleveland Browns versus Indianapolis Colts

This match up features the 0-2 Browns from the AFC North versus the 0-2 Colts from the AFC South. The Browns come in as 2.5 point favorites on the road, making it the first time in three years the Browns are road favorites. The Colts won the last meeting in December 2014 as a road favorite. While both teams are without a win, the Colts hold decisive advantages in the NFL Team Strength Oscillator (+4.23 to -21.17) and Power Ranking Indicator (+22 and increasing to +15 and declining). Going against the spread, I see  ...

NFL WEEK 3

Week 2 was another winning week for us at 2-1 ATS and improves our YTD to 4-2. Let’s see if we can keep it going with a few potential plays for Week 3. The main strategy I want to implement is fading the public. Books are always looking to exploit public perception so hopefully we can find a few winners by fading the public in a few heavily public-bet games. Obviously, this is written on Tuesday (9/19) so always keep an eye on the changing lines and percentages.

Are the New England Patriots still Super Bowl favorites?

Week 1 wasn’t supposed to end like it did for the New England Patriots. Hammered by the Kansas City Chiefs at home, 42-27, the Patriots’ dream of a perfect season went up in flames before it could even start.

New England was projected to win all 16 of its regular season games, and now that the team has lost, it seems like many are already giving up on the Pats. Week 1 saw Tom Brady and company greatly under perform, but the Patriots did play the AFC West’s winners from 2016. So, expecting the Chiefs to rollover was a  ...

NFL WEEK 2

We kicked off the NFL season going 2-1 ATS and now I’m going to take a look at a few potential plays for week 2. The main strategy I want to implement is fading the public. Books are always looking to exploit public perception so hopefully we can find a few winners by fading the public in a few heavily public-bet games. Obviously, this is written on Wednesday (9/13) so always keep an eye on the changing lines and percentages.

Football predictions week 2

Cleveland Browns versus Baltimore Ravens

The Browns (0-1) head to Baltimore to take on the Ravens (1-0) in this AFC North division match up. The Power Ranking Indicator has the Browns at +31 while the Ravens are at +28 and slightly declining after a recent strong upward surge. The NFL Team Strength Oscillator shows a good indication of the team’s current trend. The Browns are at -21.17 while the Ravens are at +4.88 at rapidly on the ascent. In head to head match ups last season, the Ravens won both meetings as the favorites. A big 7.5 point favorite this  ...

NFL Predictions Week 1

The first week of the NFL season is always the most difficult to predict, as little is seen of starting teams during the preseason. There are methods to use, however, including point spreads, overall team trends, head-to-head match up, previous season’s performance and so on. Utilizing the Power Ranking Indicator, Team Strength Oscillator, Head-to-Head records from last season, among others, here is my breakdown for six games this week.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

Jacksonville finished 3-13 last season, while Houston finished on top of the division at 9-7. The Texans come in as a 5.5 point favorite and won  ...
