NFL Playoff Picks: AFC, NFC Championships: Broncos and 49ers Prevail
We have two NFL games today. Check out our blog post earlier this week for our write ups for these two games. For me, I think the better team in the AFC is definitely the Denver Broncos, and with revenge on their mind I expect a ML victory. On the flip side, I think the 49ers can steal this one in Seattle with all the momentum they’ve built up down the stretch. It should be a great day of football.

NBA Picks and Predictions: Portland Trailblazers at Dallas Mavericks
Home underdogs are pretty tricky sometimes, and the computer really likes this one. I always trust Dirk, so you can count me in to follow along.
The Mavs are playing well, Portland is far from home, and Dallas is a home underdog with five stars of support from the algorithm, with a 66% chance of winning this game outright.
There is some conflict in the algorithm here. There are some “game winner” stars of confidence in favor of the road team here, but the signal is much stronger on the Mavs.

NHL Picks Contest ($100 Prize) Round 11: Florida Panthers at Buffalo Sabres
I got a little bit of a thrill from watching the struggles you guys had to decide between two struggling teams in the last round, so I thought I’d do it again. The Panthers are playing better of late, but the Sabres, anchored in goaltending and physicality, should give them a game on home ice. Changes in the front office may have turned them around, but the Panthers appear to have more talent. This should be a good one.

NFL Playoffs Picks: AFC and NFC Conference Championship
We’ve won money on seven of the eight playoff games so far, missing only our lowest confidence play on the Chargers game in the first round. Here, we have two games that I’m nowhere near as exciting about gambling on as I was with all the other games so far this playoffs. Still, we have some thoughts.
AFC Championship:
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos (-4)
I like the Broncos here, but not with confidence. So far in the Manning V. Brady rivalry, Peyton has either won a tight game or gotten blown out. That said, the Broncos defense is much better than the Colts defenses ever were. I think there’s revenge on Manning’s mind in this winner-take-all game. I like the Broncos ML, and I’m not confident they’ll cover. Dangerous game, but this should be as fun as it gets to watch. I’m rooting for the Broncos, I’m on them on ...
