NBA Final Four Picks: Duke and Kentucky to NCAA Championship
We had chalk in our original bracket for the final. I’ve wanted to see this Duke vs Kentucky matchup for a long time and we’re just one more win by both teams from seeing that. Why change our predictions now? I’ve got a money line parlay, laying this week’s hockey profits on these games.
First, I like the Duke money line. As you can see from the attached image, the computer algorithm gets a little screwy at this point because everyone has reached “burning hot status” by the end of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Still, the computer trusts Duke to win here, giving them a 75% chance for victory. I like those odds. I think Duke will be able to take advantage of a less talented team in MSU – but we’ve rode MSU to significant profits this tournament and we’re pretty happy. I think it’s time to jump off board, as Duke simply has too many weapons.
Second, I like Kentucky. I think Wisconsin has a great defense and could give them problems – but that great defense hasn’t seen hight like this. The size of Kentucky will make it difficult for a team that prides themselves on defense and key stops to play their game. I think you’ll see Kentucky slow down an already middling offense and take advantage of their size. I don’t expect Wisconsin to take down Kentucky one game away from the championship game. The computer sees this as more of a toss up, and I don’t feel comfortable with the spread, but I like the money line parlay here.
