Week 3 NFL DFS Picks for Fanduel and Draftkings

QB:

Matt Ryan 8500
Matt Ryan is quietly the number 1 scoring quarterback in fantasy football right now and he has a perfect matchup against the new orleans saints this weekend. I picked Eli Manning against the Saints last weekend and it didn’t pan out well, but in this division rivalry between two offensive powerhouses with no defense there’s every reason to expect a bloodbath.
Marcus Mariota 7700
Oakland has quietly allowed an average of 500 yards of total offense in its last two games. Mariota isn’t the best options but he has weapons in Tajae Sharp and DeMarco Murray who has established himself as an excellent pass catcher in this offense. I think Mariota is in a great position to shine this week and is a solid value pick.

RB:

David Johnson 8400
We’re going to spend big here because he’s a top tier talent with a heavy workload and a juicy matchup. Barring injury I don’t see any way he doesn’t bring in at least 20 points.
Melvin Gordon 7100
Here’s a guy I was telling a friend of mine to try and trade away just a week ago and now I’m predicting him to be a top-10 back. With Danny Woodhead gone, Melvin Gordon becomes the only show in town at the RB position. His workload will increase and his production was there last weekend. Furthermore with Travis Benjamin filling in nicely for Keenan Allen, defenses won’t be able to stack the box against them. Finally, the chargers are playing the Colts who are ranked 32nd against the run.
Mark Ingram 6900
Ingram has struggled to get going this season, but he’s still the feature back in a high powered offense. This weekend the Saints take on the Falcons at home. This should be a high scoring game with plenty of opportunity for Ingram.
Theo Riddick 6400
This week his matchup against Green Bay is less than ideal. However, this week Riddick will be the only guy in town when it comes to Detroit running backs. Furthermore, his ability to catch passes out of the backfield in a pass heavy offense that will likely be trailing in this game is huge. In leagues like fanduel that are PPR, Riddick is worth a shot despite his matchup.
CHARLES SIMS 6300
He’ll be the starting RB against a garbage rams front and he’s only 6300. He’s the equivalent of my Spencer Ware pick in week 1. He will be in most of my lineups.
Matt Forte 7500
Hes a little bit expensive but if he plays anything like the way he did last weekend then hell be worth it. KC has been weak against running backs
Matt Asiata/ Jerrick McKinnon 4600/
If you need to take a flier do it with one of these backs. Most of the world is predictign McKinnon to take over the feature role, but the same thing was true two years ago and Asiata became the guy. I think this week both get a share of the workload and either could emerge. Its a run-first offense so theres a chance both could be productive. At least one, if not both, will outscore their price tag this week. If you can afford McKinnon, take him, if you have to take Asiata, thats okay too.

WR:

Julio Jones 9300
If he plays, he’s going to be a monster. If he doesn’t, be ready to switch him with sanu or cooks. Im not sure you’ll even be able to afford him either. But I can’t write this without mentioning him.
Jarvis Landry 7000
Hes a target monster playing against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
Tajae Sharpe 5800
He’s a young talented wide receiver with a competent QB in a dreamy matchup. Sharpe is not an elite talent but you don’t need him to be for $5,800. He has lots of opportunity here. Pair him or Delanie Walker with Mariota in your lineups- I think the value on Sharpe will be much better though.
Willie Snead 7500
His price tag keeps rising and he’s still worth it. Falcons’ stud CB, Desmond Trufant, who held Amari Cooper to 5 catches for 71 last week, will likely be shadowing Brandin Cooks most of the game. Therefore, Snead, an almost equally talented receiver, gets a bump in his stock. If Snead doesn’t score a touchdown in this game it will be because Coby Fleener finally emerges and scores 4.
Kelvin Benjamin 7800
Benjamin doesn’t have a great matchup this weekend against the Vikings, but week one in Denver showed that he is basically matchup-proof. Benjamin is too big and too talented to be shut down and he will get his targets no matter what. Furthermore, with J. Stew out and the running game in the less-than-capable hands of Fozzy Whittaker, the Panthers will be looking to their receivers even more.

TE:

Delanie Walker 6900
As Mariotta’s first look, he should be a monster in this game against Oakland’s secondary that is currently ranked 29th.
Eric Ebron 5600
A strong value pick if you’ve spent your money elsewhere. Ebron is a talented receiver in what will be an even more pass-heavy offense in a matchup where they will likely be trailing all game. I love him here.

DST

Miami Dolphins 4600
Cleveland is starting its third string QB in this game. There will be turnovers.
Bengals 4500
Denver is a defensive powerhouse but will probably struggle offensively against the talented bengals D. Expect a low scoring game here.
