NHL Stanley Cup Final Game Two: Chicago Blackhawks at Tampa Bay Lightning
Game One was a thriller and we saw the Chicago Blackhawks’ experience come through in a tight game. Can the Tampa Bay Lightning bounce back on home ice or is this series already slipping away?
I still worry about Ben Bishop’s inconsistency and I think the track record of the Chicago Blackhawks and their top NHL defense will be enough for them to win this series. I think they’re the better team overall and having taken back home ice I don’t think the Lightning can recover. The question is more about choosing our spots here, and on the road there is a bit of risk. I don’t necessarily expect a sweep.
The veteran leadership of the Chicago Blackhawks know they have a chance to put their foots on the throat of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Throttle down, unless we see one of those patented Tampa Bay explosions, I think Chicago grinds out another win.
Z-Code has 3.5 stars of value for this one on the road dog and that’s about what I think, too. It’s not a safe bet, but it’s a lean and there’s value in the line. The computer also likes the over, but i think with the volatility of the series that’s a little dangerous. Still, 61% is a strong signal and I trust the algorithm in progression-style, over five betting. All in all, it’s a weak signal on a huge game and my best advice is just to enjoy and ride our series bet on the Hawks.
