The Premier League is set for a big weekend of football as several rivals will be renewed. EPL round 17 will see Arsenal host Manchester City and Manchester United play Everton on Sunday.
The two matches will have direct effects on the final standings this season. The busy Christmas time period is upcoming and teams will be seeking wins this weekend to build momentum for the holidays.
Manchester United vs. Everton
Manchester United are in fine form in the Premier League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team has won back to back games over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Manchester United have played well against the Premier League’s better sides but down to the lesser likes in the league.
Everton sacked manager Marco Silva a week ago. Interim manager Duncan Ferguson took charge of the side against Chelsea last weekend and led Everton to a shock 3-1 win over Chelsea. Everton have not won at Old Trafford since 2015 and it is unlikely to occur on Sunday.
Manchester United are suddenly playing well and should once again beat Everton at home.

Arsenal vs. Manchester City
Manchester City may be reigning Premier League champions but retaining that title looks very unlikely heading into the holidays. Manchester City are 14 points off of first place Liverpool. They have struggled for consistency and dropped points to the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arsenal sacked manager Unai Emery two weeks ago and Freddie Ljungberg is overseeing the team currently. The former Arsenal legend has had mixed results since taking the helm at the Emirates. He did lead Arsenal to a win last weekend against West Ham.
The Gunners are not good enough defensively to hold Manchester City out of goal. The Cityzens should be able to breach the Arsenal defence and get the goals needed to win away from home.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Two in-form teams will play at the Molineaux on Sunday when Wolverhampton Wanderers host Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham are the favourites but you cannot count Wolves out. Last season saw Tottenham when at Molineaux 3-2 while Wolverhampton Wanderers went to London and won the return match, 3-1.
The underdogs shouldn’t be counted out. Tottenham Hotspur have played well against weaker sides since the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager. However, the former Manchester United manager has struggled to beat the league’s better teams.
Wolverhampton Wanderers could inch closer to the top four. They will be tough to beat at home and should take points off of Tottenham. Wolverhampton Wanderers lead the Premier League in draws with nine. The clubs should draw with both teams scoring at Molineaux on Sunday afternoon in EPL round 17.
