NHL Playoffs Picks Contest: Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens
The Habs are hot and Carey Price is playing out of this world. The Boston Bruins lack the offensive star power to feel confident betting into a goalie this tremendous. Price is proving himself. This is dangerous.
Still, there seems to be line value, for me, in the Boston Bruins. I think they’re the best team in hockey right now, and I’ve got to think they can bounce back from that game one loss with authority. Game Two proved that. Game Three will decide if they’ve lose home ice or if they can put together some momentum. With so much on the line, so much experience, so much depth, I have to think they show up and I’m on them at -130.
Then again, Price is a monster. He’s standing on his head. He stole game one, and now he’s home – but that might not be a good thing for him. The fans in Montreal are voracious when it comes to their hockey demands, and Price has never really lived up to their wild expectations for him. He might crack, again, under the pressure of holding up the entire Centre Belle.
