The San Jose Sharks – perennial favorites out west – have gone in the opposite direction. They’re eight points out and struggling. They’ve lost three of four and seem likely to miss the playoffs. They’re even 17-16-5 in the Shark Tank, somewhere they’ve historically been very strong. It’s been a disappointing year for San Jose.
Here, a burning hot Ottawa Senators team hosts the San Jose Sharks a long way from home. Momentum favors the Senators, home ice favors the Senators, fatigue favors the Senators, and right now they’re the significantly better team.
