The Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals are both off to disappointing starts. While the Caps have big nameslike Ovechkin, Ribiero, Green, and Backstrum, their goaltending has let them down immensely. The Flyers struggles have not stemmed from goaltending, but rather inconsistent play.
I give the goaltending edge to Philly, and thus the edge int this game. Washington will be tired and are on a back to back while the Flyers are fresh. The Caps are home, so the edge is small, and I’m not going big here.
Both teams should be extra motivated and both had high expectations for this season. Time is slipping away in a shortened season, and this is sure to be a great one.
