NFL Picks: Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars, Thursday Night Football
What a boring game this one looks like it will be. Two uninspiring teams with nothing much to play for will do battle on a national stage when the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans. Whoever thought this would be a good game for the ratings owes us all an explanation.
Neither team is out of it, believe it or not, in a horrible AFC south. The Tennessee Titans had an impressive victory against the New Orleans Saints in the dome, essentially ending New Orleans’ season. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been playing well the past few weeks, winning two of three and taking out the Ravens and Bills while playing the Jets tough. Maybe both teams will come out firing and we’ll have a good one on Thursday Night Football. My hopes aren’t too high.
So what do we do when we’re bored with a game slate? WE GAMBLE! I’m kidding of course, but throwing some money on this nonsense game is certainly one way to make it exciting. Personally, I have nothing on this one and will be sitting it out in my forum, but the computer, as always, did generate a prediction for us, but that prediction shows conflict in the algorithm and it’s best to simply avoid. Long-term profits are the goal of our system, and sometimes you have to be willing to sit one out.
The Jacksonville Jaguars offense has been clicking this season. TJ Yeldon gives them a legitimate running threat and Blake Bortles has made strides towards being a legitimate NFL quarterback that has real weapons on the outside. Jacksonville is not a good team and I do not trust them, but they’re more exciting for sure and they have been playing well. Gun to my head, I’m on the Jags. I just don’t trust the Tennessee Titans, their mediocre offense, and their lack of dynamic scoring threats.
The computer agrees, giving 1.5 stars of value to the home team. That said, the parameters are not in agreement and the signal is definitely to stay away from this 50-50 game.
