NFL Picks: Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos
We’ve got a couple teasers this week and only one pick that is ATS. After posting the first half of a teaser yesterday, I figured I would put an afternoon game up featuring the Denver Broncos at -6. This looks like a solid opportunity for a ML teaser against a weak Oakland Raiders team.
The Oakland Raiders offense is young and sloppy. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos defense is the best in football. At home, with this pass rush that might just be the best in the league, I think you’ll see the Denver Broncos get after the Oakland Raiders today.
Still, there is no reason to expect a blowout here necessarily. The Denver Broncos offense has been steady, but half their running back platoon is banged up and their quarterback, though off to a strong start, is an unimpressive backup. I could see this one staying close.
I think at home, however, the Denver Broncos defense will consistently win the field position battle and give the offense a huge edge. Once again this week, it will be about not screwing this one up. I got in early, but the line has gotten even more favorable.
The computer gives the Denver Broncos a 74% chance of victory. At -250, this money line has a statistical edge with the computer showing that it should be set a 3:1. While I’m not excited about the full touchdown on the spread, I like the ML for a teaser play or parlay, and really, there’s value here straight up.
