NFL Picks November 7: Packers and Chiefs Battle in Featured Game

The NFL season has reached the midpoint and teams are beginning the fight for playoff seeding. Several key matchups are in store with the Packers and Chiefs headlining the action.

Green Bay Packers versus Kansas City Chiefs

The Packers enter play on a seven-game winning streak, while the Chiefs are 4-4 after surviving a close contest against the Giants.  Kansas City is a 1.5-point favorite with even odds of 1.9 and an over/under of 54.5. The Packers have a +30 to +12 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator and “burning hot” versus “average” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The teams have been trending in games on opposite sides of the over/under line and the Score Predictor has the Packers winning by a 28-20 margin. Both teams are showing moderate stability according to the Team Volatility Oscillator. Look for the Packers to cover and bet “under”.

Cleveland Browns versus Cincinnati Bengals

In this classic AFC North battle, the 5-3 Bengals host the 4-4 Browns. The Bengals are a 2.5-point favorite with odds of 1.69 to 2.136 with an over/under of 47.5. The Score Predictor shows a tight contest with the Bengals prevailing 24-21 with 68 percent confidence. Cincinnati has a +26 to +19 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator and “average” versus “average down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Bengals have not been consistently performing according to their favorite/underdog status as indicated by the Team Volatility Oscillator. I like the Browns on the road in an upset but avoid the over/under bet.

Minnesota Vikings versus Baltimore Ravens

The Vikings are coming off a home loss to Dallas and the Ravens look to rebound from a blowout loss to the Bengals. Baltimore is a 5.5-point home favorite with odds of 1.410 to 2.868 and an over/under of 49.5. The Totals Predictor shows the teams are trending in games on opposite sides of the over/under line, while the Score Predictor shows the Ravens winning in a high scoring game, 39-29 with 69 percent confidence.  The Ravens have a +30 to +17 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator and “burning hot down” versus “average down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. I like the Ravens to win and cover in a high-scoring game going “over” the line.

Los Angeles Chargers versus Philadelphia Eagles

The Chargers enter with a two-game losing streak, and the Eagles are coming off a 44-6 blowout over the winless Lions. The Chargers are a 1.5-point road favorite with odds of 1.750 to 2.050 and an over/under of 49.5. The Chargers are +22 on the Power Ranking Indicator and “average down” and the Eagles are +6 and “ice cold up”. Philadelphia has been more stable at +4 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. The Score Predictor has the Chargers in a 30-12 rout with 69 percent confidence and the Totals Predictor is indicating it’s best to avoid the over/under bet. I think the game will be much closer and like the Eagles at home to cover.

Tennessee Titans versus Los Angeles Rams

The Titans suffered a major blow with the loss of Derrick Henry and it’s showing on the line. They come in a 7.5-point underdog against the Rams. The odds are 1.260 to 3.760 in favor of Los Angeles with an over/under at 53.5. Both teams are “burning hot” on the Strength Oscillator and the Rams have a +28 to +25 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator.  The Totals Predictor is showing both teams trending in games “over” and the Score Predictor has the total at 54 with the Rams winning 28-26. I like the Rams to win big with Henry out of the lineup but go with “under”.
