The Philadelphia Eagles are remarkably inconsistent. They blew out the New Orleans Saints, who just beat the previously undefeated Atlanta Falcons handily, but have also lost to some pretty mediocre competition. The offense is inconsistent, the defense is average, the coaching is erratic, and they’re a hard team to trust – even at home.
The New York Giants have been very consistent. They could be unbeaten right now if not for two silly decisions by their quarterback and coach. They aren’t going to blow you away, but they’re a good team. A strong secondary anchors a decent defense, while the offense is balanced and has big-play potential.
I think this one will be a battle between two divisional rivals that know each other well and hate each other. I think it will be physical and fun, but a difficult game to wager on. Earlier in the week the Giants were getting four points and we bought it to +4.5 in our forum. We’re on it with low confidence in what looks like an exciting game.
