NFL Christmas Eve 2016: Week 16 Football Betting
Here are Z-code’s picks for the Saturday games. Hopefully Christmas will come early this year. We have a lot of picks so we’ll go through them more quickly in this article.
Cardinals at Seahawks
Seahawks are monsters at home and Arizona has been mediocre recently. Expect a low scoring game but take Seattle by a touchdown. This game will be virtually meaningless to each team but count on the 12th man to get it done.
Colts at Raiders
The Raiders are still fighting to keep the division out of the hands of KC despite having clinched a playoff spot. Expect them to put up big numbers against a weak colts defense. This game could be a shootout but such a situation would favor the stronger offense in Oakland and the 3 point line is an easy cover.
Redskins at Bears
Despite needing a lot of specific things to happen in the next two weeks, the Redskins havent given up hope on a wildcard spot yet. However, this game is a must-win for that to happen. Expect them to finish the season strong and demolish this weak bears team.
Titans at Jaguars
The Titans are going to have to win the division to make the playoffs and that will almost definitely mean they need to win their next two. Luckily, they’ve been red-hot recently (won their last 3 in a row) and are facing a Jaguars team who hasnt won in months. This game, despite being a divisional road matchup should be an easy win for the Titans in a clutch situation. I’d take them by a touchdown but we only have to give up 4.5.
Chargers at Browns
This falls in line with the motto of this year being “bet against the Browns.” Around week 6 I assumed they would pull off a win or two over the course of the season but I’m now convinced they will lose out. They have no offense and won’t be able to compete against a solid Chargers D and will not be able to stop Phillip Rivers no matter who he’s throwing/handing off the ball to.
Falcons at Panthers
This is a divisional road matchup and generally I would avoid it. However, the Falcons can win no matter who Matt Ryan is throwing the ball to and the Panthers are terrible this year. A win here would secure playoff berth for Atlanta. Expect a big showing from their tandem of running backs and a high scoring game all around. I believe in the Falcons and I expect them to win and cover here.
