NCAA Men’s Basketball Picks: Syracuse at Maryland
I think this is an interesting game, but unfortunately it also has an interesting signal from the computer. Syracuse is predicted to win this game, but they aren’t expected to win by much. The computer sees some value in the money line, but expects Maryland to cover the spread here with almost 90% certainty.
I disagree slightly. I view this as a conflicted algorithm output and I think it’s best to bet with caution here when chasing the money line. I don’t see any value in the four point spread and question some of the 89% output to cover while still giving a 63% chance for Syracuse to win. This obviously is not a clean algorithm prediction.
Still, Syracuse is the better team. Fresh off two tough losses to superior teams I think the Orange come out firing here. They need a win and they need to stop the bleeding.
