NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship: Wisconsin Vs Duke
I like Duke. I like Coach K. I like this team. I love that they’ve covered and won us a lot of money all tournament. I feel this weird sense of loyalty to them that I don’t really feel toward the Wisconsin Badgers. Still, I think Wisconsin is going to win an epic NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship to close out March Madness.
Wisconsin appears to be the better team. My only worry about the Badgers is that they have an incredibly difficult task to get back up for this game. Wisconsin was waiting a full year for that Kentucky rematch and played their best game all season. They celebrated and got their revenge. Wisconsin is now in the championship against another incredibly talented team… can they get ready for this one again?
Duke is solid. They have strong guard play and one of the best big men in basketball. What Wisconsin did to the “strong guard play” of Kentucky was impressive. They also shut down the incredible height of Kentucky. Duke has one isolated talent in the middle, not three trees like UK did. They’re strong, but not nearly as impossibly talented as Kentucky.
For me this is all about emotion. I trust the leadership and experience of the national player of the year, and I trust Bo Ryan. Again, I really like Duke. This is a low confidence pick and the computer basically calls this a 50/50 toss up. Still, don’t you want to see this scrappy little squad cut down the nets?
