NBA Playoffs Picks: Miami Heat Vs Indiana Pacers
This is the series we’ve been waiting for all year in the East, but it’s certainly not how we thought we’d get there. The Heat coasted against two mediocre teams, but the Pacers really struggled.
Still, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Pacers suddenly snapped out of their dysfunctional month and found themselves just in time to play the Heat tough. They’ve been thinking about this for a year now, and they’ve been talking about it too. It’s time to put up or shut up.
I think Lebron James is the best player in basketball, and I think he will be the greatest ever when his career is finally done. I don’t think the Pacers will be able to contain him with a championship in sight. He’ll bring his best, and the supporting cast is good enough to lift them past a struggling pacers team, even on the road.
I think Miami sends a message in game one. I’m not worried about a Pacers team with no truly dynamic players and a shoddy defense that’s been very beatable for nearly two months.
