NBA Picks: Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets at Philadelphia 76ers
We don’t usually post NBA Picks, but I’ve had some requests lately and it’s been a while. We don’t usually post parlays, but when I look at today’s slate of NBA games, the value is undeniable and this appears to be the only course of action for an NBA feature. To me, the Golden State Warriors at home right now (against a bad team) are gold. You’re basically just lowering the cost of the first line in the tandem. With that considered, I thought it would be fun to feature some NBA predictions tonight.
Picking against the 76ers is almost as good as picking the Golden State Warriors. The Houston Rockets are a playoff team with a deep roster and far more talent than the lowly 76ers. The Philadelphia 76ers are putting together a string of the worst seasons in NBA history. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where the Sixers somehow pull out a win.
Again, the Golden State Warriors are historically good this year. At home, they simply do not lose. The Utah Jazz are mediocre, and the Warriors will have a lot of open looks tonight. I see them winning by a considerable margin.
Putting together two games that look really good on paper, there is plenty of reason to lean to the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors. Z-Code gives the Golden State Warriors a 97% chance of winning at home tonight. The Houston Rockets are at 93% to win on the road. These are two really strong signals, and the temptation to put them together is too great – greater even than my aversion to such a style of investing.
