NBA Picks November 7: Brooklyn and Toronto Battle in Atlantic Division

The NBA season is still in the early stages, but there are some great matchups for Sunday, November 7. We’ll run down five games with the Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors highlighting the action.

Brooklyn Nets versus Toronto Raptors

The Nets enter 5th in the Eastern Conference and the Raptors are 4th. Both teams are “burning hot” and the Raptors have a +24 to +21 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator.  The Totals Predictor indicates both teams are trending in games “under” the line and the Score Predictor has the Nets winning by the score of 114-109 with 65 percent confidence. Note that the Raptors have been very inconsistent with respect to their favorite/underdog status. They are -3 on the Team Volatility Oscillator versus 3 for the Nets. I like the Nets in a road win and bet “under”.

Milwaukee Bucks versus Washington Wizards

Milwaukee is off to a slow start, 10th in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards are 6th in the conference and have a +19 to +9 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. Neither team is playing great at the moment, at “average” versus “average down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Totals Predictor indicates the teams are trending on opposite sides of the line, while the Score Predictor has the Bucks winning by the score of 118-116 with 66 percent confidence.  I like the Bucks to come away with a road win in this contest.

San Antonio Spurs versus Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder come in next to last in the Westen Conference and host the Spurs, who are 7th in the conference. Both teams are “dead” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Spurs have a +4 to +1 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator. Both teams are showing great stability, coming in at 4 and 5 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. The Score Predictor has the Spurs winning by a 114-98 margin with a confidence of 68 percent. Note that the Totals Predictor shows the teams trending in games on opposite sides of the line, making betting over/under an iffy proposition. I like the Spurs to come away with a rather comfortable road win.

Houston Rockets versus Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are off to a hot start, sitting 2nd in the Western Conference, while the Rockets are 3rd from the bottom in the conference. Golden State has a +26 to +2 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator and “burning hot” versus “dead” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Score Predictor has the Warriors winning by a 119-106 score with 59 percent confidence. Be aware of the fact that both teams have been trending in games “under”, so betting “under” is a smart play. Houston is +7 on the Team Volatility Oscillator, indicating they are consistently performing according to their favorite/underdog status. That trend will continue. Take Golden State to win by double digits.

Charlotte Hornets versus Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers head into play 10th in the Western Conference and the Hornets are 9th in the Eastern Conference. Los Angeles is “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator and +8 on the Power Ranking Indicator, while the Hornets are “average down” and +16. Notice that the Totals Predictor shows the teams trending in games on opposite sides of the line, so avoid the “over/under” bet.  The Clippers have been the more consistent team with respect to their favorite/underdog status. The Hornets are picked to win by a 113-103 margin with 64 percent confidence according to the Score Predictor. I like the Hornets on the road by six points or less.
