NBA Picks March 27: 76ers at Nuggets Featured Game

The NBA season is winding down to a final couple of weeks and each game has potential playoff implications. The featured game sees the top two MVP candidates go at it when the Nuggets host the 76ers.

Philadelphia 76ers versus Denver Nuggets

Two of the top teams and top two MVP candidates battle in Denver. Both teams come into play “burning hot” and Philadelphia has a +25 to +24 edge on the Power Ranks Indicator. The 76ers won the first meeting between the teams on January 28 by a score of 126-119. Both teams have been trending in games “under” the line, and the Score Predictor has Philadelphia by a 123-116 score with nearly 79 percent confidence. Both teams have been consistently performing with regard to their favorite/underdog status. I like Philadelphia in a tight game going “over” the line.

Dallas Mavericks versus Indiana Pacers

Dallas comes into play 2-4 over their last six games and “ice cold down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Indiana is 3-3 over their last six games and “average” status. The Mavericks have a +16 to +14 edge on the Power Ranks Indicator. The teams have been trending in games on opposite sides of the over/under line, and the Score Predictor likes Indiana by a 16-point margin, 124-108 with 58 percent confidence. The Pacers won the first meeting between the teams on the road. I like a repeat performance but pass on the “over/under” bet.

Phoenix Suns versus Utah Jazz

The Suns have struggled lately, losers of five of their last six games. They are “dead” on the Team Strength Oscillator and +9 on the Power Ranks Indicator. Utah is “average” and +12, respectively after going 4-2 over their last six. The teams have been trending in games “over” the line, and the Score Predictor likes Utah by a 119-114 score with 54 percent confidence. Utah has been very unstable, according to the Team Volatility Oscillator. The teams split the first two games between each other this season. I like Utah at home in this one in a game “over” the line.

Chicago Bulls versus Los Angeles Clippers

The teams are coming in with similar trends. Both are 4-2 over their last six, “average” on the Team Strength Oscillator and have been tending in games “under” the line. Los Angeles is +21 to +15 on the Power Ranks Indicator.  The Clippers won the first meeting between the teams this season, 108-103. The Score Predictor has a similar outcome this time, with the Clippers winning by 16 with 61 percent confidence. Los Angeles is more stable, according to the Team Volatility Oscillator. I like the Clippers at home but pass on the “over/under” bet.
