Mets/Pirates
Tonight the Mets play a double header against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. This is a great opportunity for an AB progression as the lines are thin and I think NY should come out with at least one win. That win will probably come in game 1 where Matz will be pitching. He currently has a record of 7-1 and an era of 2.6. The pirates are hitting well this year and that isn’t something to be ignored. However, I think the double header will favor the pitching game over the hitting. I like the Mets to come out with a win here and make an AB valuable.
Marlins/Twins
The Twins are currently one of the worst teams in baseball and the Marlins are playing well. Moreover, the -115 line is sexy in a game where the Marlins are clearly the better team. The game is relatively evenly matched pitching wise with conley and dean both having ERAs in the realm of 4. However, the Twins just can’t hit and Miami’s offense should make the difference. I like Miami to win game one but I’m listing this as an ABC progression because I don’t think there is any way on earth the Twins sweep the Marlins in this series.
