As the calendar turns to July, the MLB season is at the halfway point. Teams are preparing for the All-Star break and look to head in on a positive note. The headlined game for July 3 is the Yankees hosting the Orioles.
Houston Astros versus Texas Rangers
The Astros enter this AL West battle winners of their last two and are “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator, while the Rangers are “ice cold down” after going 2-4 over their last six. Mike Mikolas is scheduled to pitch for St. Louis. He is 4-5 with a 4.44 ERA and a poor bet at -$227 on the Pitcher Profit Oscillator. St. Louis is very unstable at -8 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. I like the Marlins at home but pass on the “over/under” bet.
Baltimore Orioles versus New York Yankees
In this AL East showdown, the Orioles have surprised this season and take on the Yankees. Los Angeles Angels versus San Diego Padres

San Diego has been the more stable team according to the Team Volatility Oscillator. I like the Padres to end their skid but pass on the “over/under” bet.
Pittsburgh Pirates versus Los Angeles Dodgers
The Pirates are currently riding a three-game winning streak and are “burning hot”, while the Dodgers are 4-2 over their last six and “average up” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Los Angeles has a +19 to +13 edge on the Power Ranks Indicator. The teams have been trending in games “over” the line, but the Score Predictor has a relatively low 5-4 game in favor of the Pirates with 42 percent confidence. Both teams have been moderately consistent with regard to their favorite/underdog status. I will take the Dodgers on their home field, but pass on the “over/under” bet.
