MLB Picks and Predictions: 9/1 – Seattle Mariners at Houston Astros
There are a few reasons this game doesn’t fit my system, but I’m on the Mariners anyway with low confidence and I like this play.
First, why it doesn’t work:
I don’t like to bet when two “bad” teams meet.
Sweep resistance is a frightening parameter.
The Astros have a decent pitcher on the mound.
The Mariners aren’t hitting that great right now.
Why it does fit:
Pitching edge to the Mariners
Roster edge (slight) to the M’s.
Momentum edge to the Mariners.
Value in the line (high value).
