Featuring Julian, a legendary Zcoder, the captain of Mustangs / Bumble Bees Team

Featuring Julian, a legendary Zcoder, winner of the contests and the captain of Mustangs / Bumble Bees Team, one of the most profitable and winning Championship teams.

1. Hi Julian!  Let us know about yourself. Where are you from? How did you start your sports investing career.

Hi all. I just want to start off with saying that I was all hooked with Zcode, when it all started on Facebook. But first, I started off with 100percentwinners.com for nearly 6 months at first.. But man, I love that site, its 100% profits! Though I don’t have that much time anymore to reach out to the flaws that the bookmakers make once in a while, I guess that’s why I stopped there. But having been a Zcode member for nearly 2 years now has been a blast, just seeing the progress and development throughout the whole site has been amazing. Big thumps up and a big thanks to all of the Zcode team!

ANYWAY,
I am 24 years old and born and raised in Denmark. My whole family is Danish. Though my name is Julian, and pronounced the same way, like when you say John and Joe and names like that, but I am still a 100% Dane, ha ha 🙂

Nevertheless, I live with my beautiful girlfriend whom I have lived with for 2 years now. Apart from being a fulltime sportstrader, I work as a real estate agent, and if you ask me, it’s best job in world! You meet so many great people and make so many acquaintances each day that enrich you in so many different ways! Aaand, I also love fast cars, and I like to play soccer and golf! ha ha.

My sports investing career actually started with Forex and stocks on parttime as a business student. I love grinding the numbers, and I believe that the past repeats itself, which signifies constant growth in nearly all markets, one just need to be patient?

When I first started out, Oh man I made THOUSANDS mistakes. Burned so much money on stupid things and made so many bad decisions, but I guess every newbie needs to go through that phase when you first start out.

Anyway, when I reached the limit on how much I could afford to lose, I stopped for nearly half a year or else I guess it would have gone into compulsive gambling/trading. On a sidenote, I honestly think that to some extent, there is a little compulsive gambler inside all of us; we just don’t want to admit it.

But some time later, I got a girlfriend whose father was quite a successful horse racing trader. He taught me all the tricks in the books, what to look after, what to consider, what to avoid etc. We made a trip to Copenhagen so I could see it with my own eyes where he gave me a good bunch of money, and said that all my winnings from those money, was to mine to keep, and I shouldn’t pay him back if I lost any of it!! I took all that he had taught me and made my own strategies and won a great deal that day, and guess what, I was completely hooked on horse racing. I remember some days as a student, where I made more money on one single day, than I could ever make on 2 months’ work. And then of course, there were horrible days where it all just blew up, but all in all horse Racing is a very emotional sport and lots of people are missing out on the fun and the profits here.
THEN on 1. January 2012, horse racing got banned by law in Denmark.

I remember when they removed it from the Danish clients on BetFair, I was totally shocked, because that was also the moment when i more or less turned fulltime horse trader. But as lucky as i am, I ran into Zcode on Facebook, and that’s also when I started looking more into MLB, NHL, NFL and NBA, Thank you for this guys! After I saw all the great tools offered, I knew this was something to had come to stay, and i guess thats why more and more people are joining the community!

2. I know you have been doing some horse racing, soccer and hockey
systems. What sports do you prefer to bet on and why?

Well, horse racing aside; MLB is clearly the best sport to bet on, period! The amount of cash you can pocket throughout a whole season is amazing, unless you just bet on all he can and losses it all again.

But should I choose between all sports there is to bet on, I’d say horse racing, even though I don’t always have time for it, I still prefer to bet on it.. It’s a complicated sport to bet on for people just starting out with it, because there are so many parameters to consider when making a bet on a race. There are so many strategies you can choose to follow. Just watch John and Gavin’s style of play contra mine, both a very successful but their filters are different.

But all in all, I love all kind of sports, and that’s also why I love the community of Zcode, everyone on there has a mutual interest, which is sports, may it be all of American sports, but also Tennis, MMA, soccer, volleyball etc. Actually I think I saw Cricket was brought up some time ago. People gladly help out, and that’s also why you want to try out betting on more different sports.

3. What parameters do you put into prediction and which zcode tools do
you use mostly?
I use statistics constantly, as I mentioned before, I believe past results repeats itself in the long run.

The tools offered from Zcode that I use the most is the normal Line reversal tool for NHL and MLB and the Spread Line Reversal for NBA to follow the spread lines. The accuracy is amazing on the first two mentioned sports. I also like use the Team Volatility Oscillator for MLB and NHL when trying to make a new system.

But honestly, I think theres people on the Zcode board that have more time for indepth analyzes that I have, that use these tools to its fullest and post their succesful results, so most of the time, I follow winning systems.

4. You have been a captain of one of the most impressive and inspiring
Zcode Championship teams (ex-Mustangs, now Bumble Bees). Tell us the
secret how do you keep your team’s winning spirit so strong and keep
winning round after round?

I believe it’s very important to motivate your team members in all kind of sports. I also think that it’s very important to praise people when they do something good and outstanding, and support and believe in them when it’s going into a slump. If you see the teams who have done best, it’s teams where they support each other. Also, even though my team members might not think about it and people in general, but having someone to speak up and motivate a team, motivates individual people to be a part of something great and do the best they can, both for themselves, but also for their team.
Win or die trying!
But the secret to winning is simple, have the right mindset, be a winner!

5. What tips do you have for other Championship teams ?

Communication is a big part of every team.
Find the best odds offered on the market, it can decide if you win or not, we have seen matches won by 1 or 2 points.
Don’t take odds below 1.5, I mean, a pick below that doesn’t bring any value to a team, unless nothing more is needed to close a match of course.
Listen to your leader, there might be a reason why he was chosen to be a leader.

6. Who are your biggest inspirations in life and in sports?

Now this may seem pretty deep and philosophical, but;
My girlfriend and animals are my biggest inspiration. She keeps reminding me of all the good things in life. Everything is not about money, even though in our world it might seem like that, but there are so much more in life than that, when you’re first aware of it.
Animals are the most beautiful creature. They are living in a cruel world, but their way of living is so much greater than ours. They don’t go to war, they live peacefully lives and if the human race could do that as well, we would have a better world today.
Anyway, the biggest inspirational sports person might stand between Michael Schumacher and Muhammed Ali, both very inspiring. Both have kept doing what they do best, even when they fell.

Never think that success is down to your own performance alone. If you start listening only to yourself you take the first step back towards the bottom. The flowers of victory belong in many vases.” From Schumacher, and I think that quote explains what Zcode is, and always will be.

7. Tell us more about Julian’s Daily Super Favorites system? How do
you pick them?
Well, first of all, it might not be for the faint hearted, as the risk involved has sometimes, I think 2 or 3 times been pretty high, but the reward is also accordingly.
The filters that I use is:
Each run must have under 12 runners
There must be no joint favorites
There must be no 2joint favorites
– A joint favorite in a race, is where there are 2 horses with more or less equal chance of winning.
Favorite has be under 3, and odds of “2nd” has be above odds 6+
Favorite must have run in the last 30 days
Sometimes I do deviate from the rules, Because sometimes, there will be great favorites running, who haven’t had a run in the last 30 days, but are still in great shape.
And then I use the chase and recovery method to chase lost bets, and that’s when it can get pretty dirty, because we all have days when we have 2 or 3 losing bets in a row, but the limit is 3 losing bets, and then start over again.
I haven’t had much time doing my racing the last couple of months due to work, but I’ll start up again soon as the spring and summer season is where there’s the most winnings.
So to anyone who would like to follow, just wait and see, the winningtrain will come soon!

8. What are tips to those who are just starting out with sports investing?
I guess this question is directed to newcomers; Be disciplined, committed and dedicated. Either develop your own way of investing in sports, or follow successful traders/systems on Zcode, because there are so many good to choose from, it’s so stupid not to.
One must be willing to commit himself to a certain system throughout a season, and one must know how much he can afford to lose. Set small and big goals and know when to step up the betting size in order to get a progressive style of gambling, at least that’s working out pretty well for me.

One last thing is, don’t bet on everything, if you do, please give your money to charity instead of greedy bookmakers, because that’s the most proven way of losing! ^_^

I wish everyone tailwind in headwind – A stupid danish saying 😀
