EPL predictions: Saturday, September 15

Tottenham vs. Liverpool

The big match of the weekend is Tottenham hosting first-place Liverpool. The Reds have played well this season, but it cannot be denied they have failed to replicate their great performance from week 1. Centre-back Dejan Lovren is expected to miss for Liverpool. Meanwhile, Tottenham will make late decisions on several key players. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and midfielder Dele Alli will be accessed before the match. Missing both would be a huge blow. Spurs lost their last match against Watford, 2-1, after blowing a one-goal lead. Will it happen again this weekend?

Winner: Liverpool

Crystal Palace vs. Huddersfield

Huddersfield has given up the most goals in the EPL (alongside West Ham). Crystal Palace has lost three games straight, but playing at home against the league’s worst defense will see the Eagles win.

Winner: Crystal Palace

Chelsea vs. Cardiff

Chelsea could go top of the table depending on Liverpool’s result. The Blues will batter Cardiff. The Bluebirds haven’t won this season, and their winless streak will continue.

Winner: Chelsea

Bournemouth vs. Leicester

Bournemouth has started the season well. The side took seven points from nine before losing to Chelsea last time out. Leicester’s defeats came against Manchester United and Liverpool. This will be a close fixture, unlike Z-Code System’s scores predictor believes. Expect a draw between the sides.

Draw

Manchester City vs. Fulham

After dominating the first two games of the season, Manchester City was held to a draw and a narrow win. Players could be tired coming back from international duty and a shock could be on the cards at Craven Cottage. Fulham will give Manchester City a tough game, but Pep Guardiola’s team will rise above. Despite Manchester City’s injuries and fatigue, its depth may be the best in the EPL.

Winner: Manchester City

Watford vs. Manchester United

These two teams have surprised everyone. Manchester United has been boring and a flat-track bully. Meanwhile, Watford has won all four of its games and sit six points ahead of Manchester United. Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils have already lost twice and September isn’t even half over. Watford has secured nine points from nine at home. Manchester United lost to Brighton away in a shock result in week 2. Can it happen again?

EPL Predictions: Sunday, September 16

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Burnley

Wolverhampton has taken five points from 12. Wanderers are a solid team with a tactically astute manager. Burnley has been eliminated from the Europa League, which is why the team was so bad during the first four matches of the season. Now less fatigued, Burnley should improve. However, Wolves are too good a team at home to drop points to Burnley.

Winner: Wolverhampton Wanderers

Everton vs. West Ham

West Ham is the worst team in the EPL. So much for spending $100 million on new players in the offseason. West Ham doesn’t look like they train very hard under new manager Manuel Pellegrini and it won’t be long until he is out the door. It looks like he has already lost the dressing room. Fans have nearly given up on him after just four matches. Everton is a good team, but manager Marco Silva has injuries and suspensions to contend with. Star forward Richarlison is still suspended, but Silva will have the talent to see off West Ham at home.
