English Premier League week 6 has several big matches on the cards, and the league’s top two teams, Manchester United and Manchester City, could further increase their lead over the rest of the pack. Several teams have already fallen off the pace for a title this term, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t good value to bettors.

Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace
Manchester City has been rolling along this season, and has won its last three matches by a combined 13-1 scoreline. The Blues host the league’s worst team, Crystal Palace this weekend. Not only has Palace lost all five fixtures, but the team hasn’t scored yet this season. Manchester City will win, the only challenge is determining by how many goals.
ZCode System’s scores predictor has Manchester City winning 4-0. I completely agree with that scoreline as Palace hasn’t shown it can stop any team this season.
Leicester vs. Liverpool
This is a tasty match as these two teams are coming off of a midweek fixture against one another in the Carabao Cup tournament. Leicester won that match 2-0, but Liverpool had made several changes to its usual starting XI. That said, Leicester pose a major threat to Liverpool in this game. The Reds are atrocious in defense, and Leicester could earn the win.
ZCode System’s scores predictor has Liverpool winning 3-0. However, I don’t agree with that at all. This should be quite close, and Leicester may beat Liverpool for the second time this week.
Stoke vs. Chelsea
Chelsea has been relatively solid since losing on opening day to Burnley. Meanwhile, Stoke has been mostly poor, and has won just once in five games this term. Stoke will be playing at home, and will give Chelsea plenty of headaches. Stoke is typically difficult to breakdown at home, and the Blues should find the Potters’ defense quite tricky.
Chelsea has too many weapons to lose this match, and should win. ZCode System’s prediction of a 3-0 Chelsea win seems a bit too favorable, however.
Southampton vs. Manchester United
Manchester United takes its undefeated record to Southampton to play one of the Premier League’s up and down sides. Manchester United throttled Everton, 4-0, last weekend, and Southampton should get a similar beating.
Once again, ZCode System’s scores predictor has a 3-0 scoreline in this one, and it favors Manchester United. Once again, I don’t agree as Southampton hasn’t given up more than two goals a game this term.
West Ham vs. Tottenham
Fifth place Tottenham take on a very shaky West Ham side. The Hammers have won just once all season and rumors of a coaching change continue to swirl around the London Olympic Stadium.
Tottenham has the potential to have this game won in the first half, and the team is undefeated in 25 of its last 28 English Premier League games. The last time these two sides met on West Ham’s home turf, the Hammers narrowly won, 1-0. Can it happen again? West Ham hasn’t been very good, and Spurs have far more fire power. A 3-0 scoreline is a bit strong, but again, Tottenham do have a lot more attacking weapons in its side.
