NFL Playoff Picks: AFC, NFC Championships: Broncos and 49ers Prevail

We have two NFL games today. Check out our blog post earlier this week for our write ups for these two games. For me, I think the better team in the AFC is definitely the Denver Broncos, and with revenge on their mind I expect a ML victory. On the flip side, I think the 49ers can steal this one in Seattle with all the momentum they’ve built up down the stretch. It should be a great day of football.

NFL Playoffs Picks: AFC and NFC Conference Championship

We’ve won money on seven of the eight playoff games so far, missing only our lowest confidence play on the Chargers game in the first round. Here, we have two games that I’m nowhere near as exciting about gambling on as I was with all the other games so far this playoffs. Still, we have some thoughts.

AFC Championship:

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos (-4)

I like the Broncos here, but not with confidence. So far in the Manning V. Brady rivalry, Peyton has either won a tight game or gotten blown out. That said, the Broncos defense is much better than the Colts defenses ever were. I think there’s revenge on Manning’s mind in this winner-take-all game. I like the Broncos ML, and I’m not confident they’ll cover. Dangerous game, but this should be as fun as it gets to watch. I’m rooting for the Broncos, I’m on them on  ...

NFL Playoffs Predictions: Divisional Round Picks

After going 3-1 against the spread in the first round of the playoffs, we’re back at it again hoping to stay hot as the NFL season comes to a close. Here are our picks for the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs:

New England Patriots (-7) over Indianapolis Colts

These are two teams that are not complete. The Colts are without their top wide receiver, and their offense has stumbled down the stretch as a result. Still, their incredible comeback has them in the second round. The Pats are on a bye and home, so that should be enough for their mad genius coach to shut down the Colts. I know the Patriots are missing some weapons and -7 has me nervous against a team as lucky as the Colts seem to be, but I think the Patriots will win this game and lean to New England to cover.

Team Contest – Youngsters Team Won! What a great finish by Youngsters! We had incredible great final in team contest! Mustangs and Youngsters created amazing show with big emotions in every single week. Mustangs were very very strong opponent, much better than golas scored by them in last 3 weeks, every result was decided by details and in the end lady luck picked Youngsters for the winners. It’s that time again – the best time of the year. Hockey is in full swing, the NBA is rolling along, pitchers and catchers report in a few months, and the NFL playoffs are here to take us to baseball. Throw in some college bowl games (I’ll be at the Sugar Bowl later) and NCAA basketball, and it truly is a wonderful time to be a sports fan. Here are our NFL Playoffs predictions for 2014:

Kansas City Chiefs (+3) over Indianapolis Colts

I know the Chiefs are banged up, but I don’t think the Colts have the weapons to win a playoff game. I recognize that a new commitment to the run has led them past Reggie Wayne’s injury, but I don’t see them moving the ball on KC. Throw in Andy Reid’s offensive game planning, Alex Smiths’ decision making, and the consistency we expect from the Chiefs  ...

This is it! Everything is on the line with a division championship game. Winner takes all. NFC North with a win, home with a loss. Does it get any better than this?

The Green Bay Packers have their fearless leader back and Aaron Rodgers is active for Week 17 against the Chicago Bears. The Bears had a chance to win the division last week, but they laid an egg agains the Philadelphia Eagles. Is there any recovery?

NFL Picks and Predictions: Sunday Night Football – Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles

I wanted to wait for the stakes to be laid, and thanks to a miraculous 4th and 12 touchdown from Tony Romo, this game means nothing to the Philadelphia Eagles.  So, in effect, you have a must-win game for the Bears and a meaningless game for the Eagles.  The Bears also getting three points.  This seems too good to be true.
