Heart of Dallas Bowl
Utah (-6.5) vs. West Virginia | O/U: 56.5
While West Virginia will be without quarterback Will Grier once again, it’s their defense that has been the problem. This is a mediocre Utah team but head coach Kyle Whittingham is 10-1 in bowl games at Utah so they will be prepared. The line has drifted out a bit with the confirmation Grier won’t be playing so while I think West Virginia has potential if it gets to +7, I think this is a safe pass.

Quick Lane Bowl
Duke (-5.5) vs. Northern Illinois | O/U: 47
A victory for Duke will give them a winning record on the season while Northern Illinois will be looking to snap a 4 game bowl losing streak. Northern Illinois has a legitimate defense led by defensive end Sutton Smith and they will be able to put consistent pressure on Duke quarterback Daniel Jones. I expect a low scoring game and Northern Illinois should be able to hang around.

Cactus Bowl
Kansas State (-6.5) vs. UCLA | O/U: 61
The big story here is the status of UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen. As of now, it appears that he will not play and obviously that is a game changer. Kansas State’s weakness is their pass defense which Rosen could have taken advantage of. Without Rosen, I think Kansas State will be able to outscore UCLA and get the cover. If Rosen plays, this could be a shoot out and the over will definitely be in play.
