Betting Thursday Night Football, Week 11: New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

The New Orleans Saints are taking on the Carolina Panthers in Carolina for Thursday Night Football in week 11. The 4-6 Saints have a potent offense and one of the worst, if not the worst, defenses in football. The Panthers have gone from a top-tier defense in 2015 to a bottom tier one this year and have managed barely mediocre offensive play this year. However, even the 49ers were able to score 23 against the Saint. The over-under is set at 52 and this game has all the making of a shootout as last time these two teams met in week 6, the total score was 79.
This is a divisional rivalry where the Saints are fighting to remain pseudo-relevant and the Panthers are basically faced with their last chance to become relevant in the NFC South. This is precisely the type of game we at Z-code recommend you avoid betting because in these divisional matchups, especially between two bad teams, literally anything can happen.
However, there are two things that we see as likely to happen. We believe it will be a close game, decided by one score and we believe it will be an utter bloodbath of a shootout. The Saints have such a good offense they can keep up with the best of them but their defense can, likewise, make any offense seem like the best of them. So, if you want to bet this game for the sake of having something to bet on Thursday night, here is the play we recommend:

Two-team, 7 point Teaser with New Orleans +10.5 and over 45 at -130.

We don’t see any way New Orleans gets Blown out here nor do we see either team holding the other to less than 22.5 points.
