The Penguins are healthy, grumpy, home, and playing a team built around their goalie who happens to be injured. If the Pens can’t snap out of this mini-funk they’re in right now against the Preds, they’re in trouble.

Pittsburgh has the most dynamic top line in hockey, and Letang might be the best defenseman in hockey. I think they’re balanced, and if they’re aggressive on home ice they should dominate this game. I think Pittsburgh is clearly the better team.

The fact of the matter is that the Indianapolis Colts haven’t been the same team since Reggie Wayne went down. Wayne was Andrew Luck’s top receiver, and the offense hasn’t clicked in his absence. We saw the Colts go from a team playing great football against the best in the league to a team suddenly unable to move the ball. NHL Picks and Predictions – $100 Contest Game Pick: Philadelphia Flyers at Ottawa Senators

I guess they can’t all be as challenging as our first round. I suppose that comes from picking games before the line is up to give everyone a chance to vote. Since we posted, the Senators went on a winning streak and the Flyers have continue to slump.

That probably explains the line, -140, and the Z-Code readout. It also probably explains why our Z-Code Facebook Community is all over the Senators. Still, I wouldn’t write off the Flyers just yet.

NFL PIcks Week Ten: Monday Night Football – Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Public money is balanced on a day with no hockey plays. Vegas appears to be content with trapping the public in other games and this is a good ol’ fashioned borefest between two bad teams on Monday Night Football.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have underachieved, but nearly defeated the Seattle Seahawks last week. If that’s any indication of what they’re capable of, the Miami Dolphins could be in trouble in Tampa tonight. I happen to be of the opinion that last week was a fluke.

Z-Code agrees. The spread at -1 seems inconsequential and the parameters are in agreement. Despite the Dolphins being on the road, Z=Code gives them a 63% chance to win and 3.5 stars of value. NFL Picks Week Ten: Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans

It’s hard to disagree with the computer on this one. For those that follow the VIP Club and it’s Baromir Parlay Selection strategy, this is a perfect fit.

The Jags have been horrible this year and the Titans have been delightfully consistent. This appears like an excellent time for a money line parlay. But – looking at this game – who didn’t think that. So, we look a little deeper for some spread value.
