Friday, July 22: Tonight’s top MLB picks from Zcode include the Astros, Cubs, Marlins, Blue Jays, and Nationals
Another weekend of baseball is here and at Zcode we have hand-picked the most valuable plays for tonight. These are the games we see the most potential for profit in:
Los Angeles Angels at Houston Astros
The Astros are playing well and in the hunt for the AL west as the once-seemingly invincible Rangers are slumping. The Angels are coming off a sweep against the Rangers and looking to book another win in Houston. The Astros, however, have swept the Angels twice this season already and have McCullers on the mound. He’s by no means an Ace, but he’s a solid starter and Houston hasn’t struggled to put up offense with 29 runs in their last 6 games. This is an ideal series for an ABC on Houston.
Astros 1.43 to win 1 unit ABC
Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers
The Cubs have the best record in baseball right now and have won both their last two series against two playoff contending teams. This weekend they face a far weaker Brewers team on the road with a solid lineup of starting pitchers. Expect the Cubs to win at least 2 of these 3. The Brewers have lost their last two series and have both struggled on both sides of the ball. This is another opportunity for an ABC progression as the Cubs should have no trouble scooping 2 or more wins in Milwaukee.

New York Mets at Miami Marlins
The Marlins are a solid team thats been playing well since the break. However,r the key to this game will be the pitching. Marlins are starting Adam Conley who’s averaging 3.28 ERA at home and 2.10 in his last three. He’s not quite an ace but he’s been playing like one recently. The Marlins have been playing efficiently and are in the hunt to lock down a wildcard spot in the national league. Furthermore, Ichiro Suzuki is going into tonights game 4 hits shy of the benchmark 3,000- expect him and the rest of the Marlins to literally come out swinging.
Marlins 2.94 to win 2 units
Seattle Mariners at Toronto Blue Jays
The Jays are a viable contender in the hunt for the AL east while the Mariners are struggling to stay above .500. Tonight the Jays get to take on Seattle in a three-game series at home coming off a 3-game winning streak with 20 total runs scored. The Jays will be looking to use this series against a weak Mariners team as a great opportunity to get a leg up on the seemingly unstoppable red sox. They’re starting Marco Estrada against James Paxton giving them a recognizable edge on the mound. Look for the Jays to book a big win in game 1.
Blue Jays 3.64 units to win 2
San Diego Padres at Washington Nationals
The Padres are coming off a 4 game losing streak to face the Nationals on the road. Granted, while the Nationals still maintain a commanding lead in the NL east, they have lost 3 of their last 6. However, those were also to teams above .500. The Padres are by far the weaker team and Washington is rolling out Roark who is 2.32 at home this year. This should be an easy win for the Nats as they’re looking to keep Miami at arms length in the race for the NL east.
